Editor,

Regarding “Powell’s anti-Trump bias” (Aug. 14 letter) — for some average person writing letters to the Daily Journal to think that they, or even Trump, know more than Jerome Powell about the intricacies of fiscal planning is simple-minded. It’s a delicate balancing act. There is a fine line between stimulating the economy and inducing inflation.

Yea, there's that about Trump. But if he can stop the war in Ukraine he can pat himself on the back allthe wants.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Wright, but it’s interesting you attempt to demean people writing letters to the DJ by positing, “that they, or even Trump, know more than Jerome Powell about the intricacies of fiscal planning is simple-minded,” and yet here you are, doing exactly that. I didn’t realize you were a former Fed Board Member and I definitely know you were never POTUS. I appreciate your segue into yet another “orange man bad” rant but as usual, I’ll add it to the round file. BTW, have you come to terms with the “insurrection” that never was?
