Yes. The County is spending billions widening highways, the #1 source of GHG emissions in the area.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Carlini, but apparently, as I’ve been saying for-ever, nobody “gets it” because man-made climate change isn’t a thing. Sure, we get plenty of people who talk the talk but how many truly walk the walk? Even Newsom has been forced to change his tune (https://calmatters.org/politics/2025/08/oil-compromise-california-legislature/) to reflect reality. Fossil fuels are a way of life in the past and in our future. And there’s no way California is going to dictate the minds of China, India, undeveloped and even developed countries. It is better – and cheaper – to prevent a problem than to fix it or to mitigate its effects. But only if you truly have a problem – and man-made climate change is not a problem.
