Editor,

The Aug. 28 Daily Journal guest perspective is titled “Why we protest.” Unspoken is the real reason for protest, and that is they have nothing better to do. These are people who have too much time on their hands and having nothing else to occupy their time they gather and make statements. What the statements are doesn’t matter, and the protesters don’t actually care as long as a random statement sounds good and inflates egos.

Wow! James, you have utter contempt for the street protestor. You have contempt for people who, rather than pursue their busy lives, take time out to make their intentions known by exercising their First Amendment rights. Women's voting rights, the end of Prohibition, and important Civil Rights were made possible primarily by people willing to march in the streets. This is a problem of tightie righties - you are too consumed by contempt, retribution, and hatred to work for the betterment of all.

Poor James, does the frequent protests all around the U.S. bother you? Poor little man. But, that's the way right-wing Trump-enablers think. James, you think that writing a LTE that may be read by only a few thousand people is better than nation-wide street protests that are seen by millions of people in person and on TV news? What do you think will have more impact on the nation's population and motivate them to vote against Trump and his incompetent clowns running the U.S. Government? So, you just want to make fun of people and complain about them because you have too much on your hands and nothing to do all day but deliver pizza. Good luck with that.

Two for one…the hilarity ensues…

So Rel attempts to take Mr. Constantino to task for having contempt for folks exercising their First Amendment rights? By Rel expressing contempt for Mr. Constantino exercising his First Amendment rights. Hypocrisy abounds! This is a problem with those of the petty rabid lefty variety – they are too consumed by contempt, retribution, and hatred to work for the betterment of all (and it’s just too easy to call them out on their hypocrisy). Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A news flash for poor Mike O., the “nation-wide street protests that are seen by millions of people in person and on TV news” results only in these viewers wondering why Democrats support criminals over American citizens. These ridiculous TDS sufferers will likely motivate folks to vote against Democrats, as evidenced by Democrat party approval ratings being some of the lowest in recorded history. Poor Democrats (the vast majority agree).

Now imagine if these street protesters volunteered at Samaritan House as Ms. Normoyle is imploring folks to do in her Letter to the Editor, or somewhere else, instead of wasting time loitering in the streets. Perhaps they’d make a real and fulfilling impact in doing something to Make America Great Again instead of Making America Last. BTW, a reminder that this is the Mike O. who doesn’t believe the US Constitution protects individual liberties when everyone under the sun can quickly and easily do a simple search for “does the constitution protect individual liberties.” Yep, protects individual liberties. Trump 2028.

Well-written, Mr. Constantino. The least these protestors can do while they’re loitering is to stop by and buy a hot dog or a soda or anything else that will support support local businesses. That would be a greater impact than being a nuisance to pedestrians and traffic.
