In letter writer Irving Brenner’s letter to the editor on Monday, Sept. 22, in the Daily Journal he disparages Republicans, Trump, even recently assassinated political activist Charlie Kirk and proceeds to lecture us to what he terms as the “selective outrage” Republicans have if the victim(s) are Republican.
Literally, all the print and television news I’ve read or watched be it national or local showed an equal outrage for Mr. Kirk’s assassination among both parties and an equal concern of how to stop it. Yet Irving Brenner feels differently than what has been reported in the news and does, in my opinion, what a cold-blooded left-leaning person does in tragedies like this and tries to change the narrative to it being right-wing hateful rhetoric. Once again Irving Brenner uses the word “hypocrisy” in his criticism of Republicans but commits the same hypocrisy by asking people “to get past this tragic event” and then spews the same hateful rhetoric toward the right wing in his letter.
The bottom line is this country is heading toward more terrible acts like Charlie Kirk’s death and Irving Brenner’s inflammatory comments don’t help, but rather incites those who think like him to act violently.

Mr. Wackerman; You definitely need to buy and learn the definition of hateful speech and the word hypocrisy. You complain about another LTE writer who points the right wing hypocrisy between Kirk's death and the death of young school kits from a mass shootings, and, call that hateful speech. You are like the driver who gets caught speeding by the cops and when he receives a ticket for speeding, you call the cop hateful. No, the cop is just doing his job enforcing the law, a law you don't care to obey. You and your right-wings friends just caught 'speeding' (being hypocritical) and now you are trying to defend your ignorance and hypocrisy by blaming the person who is calling you out for it. Oh brother! Get a dictionary.
Hey Mike O., to follow your lead… Is this like Democrats who put the priorities of criminals and terrorists over that of the American people and when Democrats get called out for it, they call everyone, especially law enforcement hateful? No, law enforcement is just doing their job enforcing laws, laws Democrats don’t care to obey. You and your left-wing friends are caught ‘aiding and abetting invaders to our country’ (being hypocritical) and now you are trying to defend your and complicit Democrat ignorance and hypocrisy by blaming the person who is calling you out for it. Oh brother! Get a dictionary. And maybe a book on writing convincing arguments.
BTW, as you said late last week, “No one respects a liar. No one believes a liar like you, and, never will.” So, when you can’t accept the facts that Obama put kids in cages and Pelosi was responsible for allowing the Jan. 6 riot to occur, how can anyone respect or believe you? They never will. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Well written, Mr. Wackerman. Unfortunately, Mr. Brenner is perpetuating the hateful rhetoric spewed by far-left Democrats who are the voice of the party. What is interesting is that “regular” Democrats aren’t calling out these far left Democrats. Perhaps they’re afraid of being canceled and they’d rather stay silent, and complicit? Mr. Brenner and far-left Democrats have shown us who they are – let’s believe them and never forget.
