Regarding the front-page article (June 4) on your paper … Steve Hilton’s political track record, political inclination and MAGA open affiliation are antithetical to everything California has always stood for: an open and democratic society, staunch defense of civil rights and of diversity, equality and inclusion, enlightened liberalism in all fields of human endeavor, scientific research and defense of the environment.
These are not the best of times for California and Californians, due, in large measure, to the authoritarian, discriminatory, anti-immigrant and warmongering policies of the Trump administration and its servile GOP support. To think that a British political opportunist and Fox News extremist Steve Hilton is a solution for our great state, is the ultimate political self-delusion.
The fox/Fox changes venue and hair coloring, but not its instincts.
Remember that Hilton was British Prime Minister Cameron’s strategist for BREXIT, that proved to be an economic and political disaster for England.
America needs a Democratic California, not another Trumpian regressive fiefdom.

Hilarious. Mr. Frongia must be a new transplant to California else he would know that California under Democrat rule has become a laughingstock around the world. Mr. Frongia writes California has always stood for, “an open and democratic society, staunch defense of civil rights and of diversity, equality and inclusion, enlightened liberalism in all fields of human endeavor, scientific research and defense of the environment”? Unless you’re an American citizen and worse, a biological woman.
Remember, Democrats put the welfare of criminals and terrorists over the American people and worse, allow biological males to compete against biological females with the ability to invade their safe spaces. America needs a MAGA California, not a continued regressive Democrat fiefdom. Vote for anyone but a Democrat.
