I agree with letter writer Steve Duncan that we deserve to know how much the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors spent to replace Sheriff Corpus.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Donnelly. Perhaps we can float an initiatives to require detailed auditing of any agency that spends taxpayer funds, perhaps breaking down past budget actuals with proposed budget spending. Along with requiring detailed listings of contributions to candidates. If we can vote to resoundingly oust a Sheriff, we should be able to pass these initiatives. But be prepared for Democrats to resort to anything and everything to prevent the exposures.

Hey Ricky, you say, “I thought your favorite smaller government.” There’s no need to think about it, I’m confirming I’m for smaller government. What’s up with your “What’s up with this?” reply? How am I starting to sound like a Democrat? I’m not for putting the needs of criminals and terrorists over the American people and I’m not for the threat to democracy known as Proposition 50. If I had my druthers, I’d axe 50% of union mass transportation workers to reflect ridership and I’d axe 70% of public education administrators and government staff. How’s that for smaller government?

Please expand upon your train (seems more like a snail crawl) of thought as I’m unsure of your destination, if any. Perhaps you and others don’t realize it but you’re allowed to use several hundred words when commenting. Perhaps use more words to add some context to make your point otherwise we’ll assume you’re shooting from the hip and missing badly, again. Thank you in advance. BTW, how about our (yes, our) great President Trump being the first American to receive South Korea’s highest honor, the Grand Order of Mugunghwa? Oh yes, and a replica crown. I can see it now - leftists claiming evidence of Trump as a King, albeit a replica King.
