Editor,

In response to Zinovy Fichtenholz’s letter “Mullin’s Failure,” I take exception to so many things it’s hard to know where to start. President Trump has made a mockery of all the issues you list as accomplishments. Do you call soaring national debt, what has happened in Minnesota, erratic tariffs and the war in Ukraine successful policies? I find it very disheartening that there are so many people willing to follow this president off the cliff. I always believed people were better than that. I now think maybe I was naive. As far as Mullin goes, my suggestion to his detractors is to move to a state like Oklahoma or Mississippi and really experience the lifestyle of a regressive and backwards culture. That seems to be what you really want. I am not going to say anymore about Trump simply because the evidence against him is so blatant that it is futile to try to convince his supporters of anything. I just hope we can survive this wave of fascism.

The guideline for some seems to be “Anything Republican and nothing but”, leading followers right off the proverbial cliff, like the old story about the German rat catcher.

Hilarious. Hey Mr. Keegan, thanks for providing the latest Democrat talking points that have no connection with reality. In fact, all of the issues you cite are directly or indirectly related to Democrat messes that Trump is attempting to clean up. I find it more disheartening to see Democrats putting the welfare of criminals and terrorists over the American people. Why don’t these Democrats believe in law and order or our Constitution? I always believed people, even Democrats, were better than that. I now think maybe I was naive.

As far as Trump goes, my suggestion to his detractors is to move to a country like Russia or North Korea (but not Iran since they may be encountering technical difficulties very soon) and really experience the lifestyle of a regressive and backwards culture. That seems to be what they really want. Else, I’d say sit back and enjoy our (yes, our) great President Trump Making America Great Again, Again. I do admit Trump was wrong about one thing, I’m not tired of winning.

As for your fear mongering in attempting to associate fascism with Trump, don’t you think potty-mouthed Democrats or anyone else out of favor would have been shipped to Ukraine, to be conscripted into war? I’m still waiting for that to happen…as is everyone else trying to scare folks about an end to democracy. These fear mongering tactics about fascism only serve to undermine the arguments of the author. We, even they, all know they have no basis in reality. Have a Trump-tastic day!

Trump isn't a "fascist" - he is a puppet on a string for Israel. He was Espteins best friend. If you are trying to rationalize that - i suggest you look in the mirror.

Fascism rose in America since the early 20th century. Witness where the robber barons put their money after monopolies were broken up. Wall Street, including the Bush family, financed German industrialists. Then there was the attempted fascist coup d'état of 1933 when Wall Street financiers recruited Major General Smedley Butler to replace Roosevelt. Butler was loyal to the Constitution and exposed the plotters. We fought fascism in World War Two, including my great-uncle, only to put them back in power in the name of anti-communism. There's the China Lobby, the Dulles's, the use of narcotics to finance covert operations, Japanese and German post-war flight capital, the Bormann Organization, the national security establishment and Nazi link to the JFK assassination, Indonesia, Vietnam, Latin America, the Republican Committee's Ethnic Outreach groups--created under Nixon to counter "the Jewish vote" by importing "ex-" Nazi leaders to round up votes in ethnic communities. There's Iran-Contra, the US-instigated maidan coup in Ukraine, which resulted in Nazi control of Ukraine, etc. etc. You get the idea. It's all documented at spitfirelist.com, which has an excellent search feature. Here's a recent article https://drb.ie/articles/fascism-in-america/.

Hey ClashFan - a nice comprehensive litany of conspiracies. I wonder who are the winners and the losers after all of this? It seems to me that sanity and common sense prevailed despite all of these alleged interferences. Most of us are doing well, considering the roadblocks that you threw up. None of them ultimately had much of an impact on our daily life no matter how hard these fifth-column- types tried..
