Editor,

What Trump and his cabinet have failed to comprehend with the SAVE America Act — currently being debated in the Senate — is that taking the ability to vote away from Americans is not going to go down well with anybody.

Thanks, Ms. Jansen, for repeating easily debunked Democrat talking points about the SAVE America Act. If anything, the SAVE America Act increases the confidence that qualified voters will vote, knowing their votes won’t be nullified by folks not allowed to vote. We all know obtaining a birth certificate or a married name change, especially online, is quick and easy and folks can receive their documents within a month, or less. And in person, they can receive documents in a day or two.

The only people who will be barred from voting will be invaders to our country and people committing fraud. Of course, people who can’t be bothered to obtain valid ID likely don’t care enough to vote... The biggest reason folks should want the SAVE America Act to pass is that Democrats don’t like the Act. Remember, Democrats in NYC wanted what, four forms of ID to be paid for shoveling snow. And didn’t Democrats in Connecticut pass a law that requires photo ID to recycle aluminum cans? And these Democrats don’t think folks need ID to vote? Crazy. And why the SAVE America Act is needed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. BTW, check out O’Keefe Media Group’s undercover investigation into massive election fraud on LA’s Skid Row. More reasons for the SAVE America Act to pass.

Dear Linda - perhaps it has escaped you that 80% of US citizens don't have the same fear of having to prove that they are citizens. Democrats, Independents and Republicans alike overwhelmingly support the Act. Why are you coming up with unsubstantiated anecdotes that have been whispered in your ear by Schumer and Company?

Linda, I dare say that the day you turned 16 your parents, like all parents drove their 16-year-old to the DMV to obtain a license. I’m sure you were proud. The first time you were asked to show your ID, and when you were 21 years old, you had to show an ID to purchase a six pack of beer, you may have shown your ID when you wanted to fly from the Bay Area to New York, you had to show an ID when you were hired by an employer, and if you lived in Hayward California, you would have to show an ID to recycle. So how in the world did this farmer, or other fictitious person you came up with survive all the years without showing an ID? Did they not buy beer? Did they not fly on an airplane, did they not get married? Etc. etc. Chucky the great Shepherd has much of his flock singing the same false tunes. It’s time to put your narrative aside, because only United States citizens should vote, and if one illegal person votes, then the legal vote of a U.S. citizen has been nullified.

When I have wine delivered at home, they usually ask for my ID. I just take it as a compliment that I don’t look a day over 20, - a milestone I passed more than 60 years ago.

Linda, don’t mind these commenters (with the exception of Jorg) they live in a room full of mirrors and just can’t see outside.
