Editor,

The history of one-party government has always been one of corruption, bribery, patronage and the incumbent party’s need to maintain power to cover up its corruption.

Ed - unfortunately, most Californians are desensitized and accept this as normal. When even persons like Schiff and Swalwell can make it to their lofty, undeserved positions, it will take a revolution for Californians to wake up. Both of these pathological liars managed, with impunity, and without any corroborated evidence, to hamstring Trump during his first administration. Yet, they seem proud of their pathetic achievements. Swalwell is even using it in his campaign for governor. Heaven help us.

Ed, we have BOTH parties well corrupted by the lack of public funding of elections as well as the ability on the federal level of stock trading again by both parties. The only solution is not more parties but more stringent legal restrictions on behavior of officeholders. Unfortunately the supreme court has plenty of Kool Aid available to remain in their delusional state.

Public funding of elections by our one party government would lead to even more corruption.
