A San Francisco man was arrested on Monday by Millbrae police on suspicion of furnishing marijuana to minors. He obtained marijuana from a Cannabis Club in San Francisco.
Cpt. Mike Grogan of the Millbrae Police Department said the police were tipped off by a mother of a female student at Mills High School who said she found her daughter under the influence of marijuana and alcohol.
"He was apparently showing off his medical marijuana club card to the students," Grogan said.
Shawn Henry Simon was a member of a San Francisco Cannabis Club after he obtained state disability insurance for a hip injury.
Grogan said Simon would meet the students in Rotary Park on South Ashton Ave. which is a few blocks away from Mills High School. "He would sell marijuana to kids and just give some away to others," Grogan said.
According to Grogan none of the students involved are being investigated. "We're treating the students pretty much like they are the victims," he said.
So far, Grogan is aware of eight students who knew Simon and two female students Simon was supplying with marijuana.

The police also suspect Simon was furnishing alcohol and morphine tablets to the minors.
The police have made the staff at Mills High aware of Simon.
Grogan said he warned the staff to be mindful of these type of situations. The high school is not involved in the investigation because none of the transactions occurred on campus.
Grogan said the Milbrae Police are currently forwarding a copy of the report to the State Bureau of Narcotics, for further investigation into the Cannabis Club Simon belonged to.
Grogan is currently being held in the San Mateo County Jail on $50,000 bail for furnishing marijuana to minors, contributing to the deliquency of minors and for the annoyance/molestation of children.
Grogan said for these felony charges, Simon could face up to six years in State prison.
